Flexural Rigidity Measurement Apparatus, gBending Stiffness Testerh
BST-150M

BST-150M
Product Overview

The BST-150M measures the bending strength of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, etc., while simultaneously graphically plotting the bending process. The paper is inserted in the clamp, and the item is measured while being bent manually.

Characteristics

  1. The relationships between yield loads and angles can be measured with the measurement device main-unit alone.
  2. With the BST-150M ancillary printer, characteristics graphs can be outputted on site, and characteristics values can be printed out.
  3. The BST-150M is lightweight, meaning that it can be easily introduced at work sites for the performance of on-site measurements.
  4. Software is available when you want to use the BST-150M connected to a personal computer. Our software enables active use of a broad variety of editing functions, including the statistical processing of data, data memorization, comparative display, tracing, and more. This is especially useful when integrating, examining, and considering measurement results.
  5. Measurements are performed manually. With the BST-150M, the relationships between resistance values and angles of rotation can be obtained for 0deg to 90deg (we have confirmed that there are no differences between this apparatus and our previously developed gAutomatic Fixed-Speed Bending Stiffness Testerh).
  6. For the clamp for corrugated cardboard clamping, we have employed a gratchet-type clamph which supports sheets at a fixed strength to ensure there is no damage to, or breakage of, sheets.

Uses

  1. The BST-150M can be used for control of Crease lines and material characteristics of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, etc.
  2. In addition to boxboard and corrugated cardboard, the BST-150M can be used for bending tests of plastics films, thin plates, honeycomb boards, etc.
  3. Since the main-unit body is lightweight and compact, simply by placing it in the dedicated carrying case, it can be easily and conveniently carried to different places, from its usual home in the quality control division to the factory floor, or even during sales. Crease line strength can be easily measured as a pre-inspection measure during work operations, or for consignment inspections of wraparound sequencers, cartoning machines, etc., and especially Crease line strength measurements during the cutting of cartons and similar material.
